Registrants should have registation form and backside of registration form completed with all signatures on back. All registration materials are available at Girls Inc. in Seymour. Can be scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Payment can be made via phone at 812-522-2798. Must come in to pick up free tee shirt. Grades should be the grade that the child will be going into this fall. Survey information should be completed for children ages 9-12 and 13-Up. Survey consent forms can be printed and emailed also.
GIRLS INC. SUMMER CAMP is a fun filled 9 week camp. Members will participate in a variety of educational but fun activities such as: swimming, arts and crafts, cooking, science experiments, and computer lab….just to name a few. Girls will participate daily in age appropriate programming and activities. Girls are supervised by fun, experienced and trained staff who all have participated in Girls Inc. programming. A daily schedule will be provided at registration.
GIRLS INCORPORATED SUMMER HOURS: Regular hours are 6:30 am-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, from May 28th through July 26th.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Registration for summer camp will begin May 1st at Girls Inc from 9:00am-5:00pm. Any girl who will be entering kindergarten in the fall is eligible to be a Girls Incorporated member this summer. An adult or guardian must sign girls up for summer camp. If girls are not a member, the summer membership fee is $25.00. The summer camp fee is $225.00 for the 9 week summer camp if paid in full before May 24th (if paid after May 24th the fee is $250.00) or members can pay a daily rate of $10 per day. Each girl will receive a Girls Inc tee shirt. The camp fee includes daily activities at the center and any offsite transportation to local activities. Field trips & swim lessons are additional fees. Dues assistance is available for those who qualify. Dues assistance forms at the Girls Inc. center and can be filled out during registration. We will be accepting cash, check, credit and debit cards for payments.
There will be no offsite field trips in 2019. Additional fun activities will be held at Girls Inc. and in some cases we may have local offsite excursions.
SWIM LESSONS: will be held at the Seymour City Pool in Shields Park. There is a $25.00 fee for the lessons. Girls Incorporated will provide transportation from Girls Inc. to the pool and back. Girls levels, dates and times will be available at registration.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES that need to be signed up for during registration include Offsite Excursions and Swim Lessons. Other weekly events that need to be signed up for include group swim and free movie. Girls need to sign up for these activities by noon on the day of the event.
Girls should not bring valuables with them to Girls Inc. We have no place to safely store them. Girls are encouraged to keep their money at the control desk or concession stand for safekeeping. Girls Inc. is not responsible for lost or stolen items. If a girl brings a cell phone she will need to keep it in the program office. Girls Inc. has a phone members can use for emergencies. We strongly urge members not to bring cell phones. Parents can call their daughter anytime at 522-2798.
PARKING: Please park in the marked spaces provided in the parking lot. Parents must come into the building to pick up your daughter. ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING OR WAITING ON THE CIRCULAR DRIVE! A big THANK YOU to parents that respect this safety rule!
MEMBERSHIP FOR GIRLS ENTERING 7TH GRADE AND UP IS FREE-THERE IS A $75 SUPPLY FEE FOR GRADES 7-9. This summer Girls Inc. is continuing our G.I.T. (Girls Inc. Teens) program. Those girls who will be entering 7th grade and up will assist younger members with activities throughout the day. G.I.T.’s might help a younger member get her sunscreen on before swimming, help her with a craft, help serve lunch, etc. Any girls interested in becoming a G.I.T. will need to attend a training. FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH: This summer Girls Inc. has been invited by Seymour Community Schools to participate in their free summer breakfast & lunch program through the USDA summer food service program. We will be walking the girls to the middle school every day at approximately 8:00 am for breakfast and 12:00 noon for lunch. Girls should dress appropriately (rain jacket, umbrella if needed). Girls Inc will provide lunch for the girls prior to the start of the lunch program.
SWIMMING – Each week groups will have an opportunity to attend Seymour City Pool from 1:30-3:30. Girls must be signed up no later than noon on their swim day! Girls need to bring $2.00, swimsuit, sunscreen and towel.
